Complaints and Appeals
At Boat Licence Victoria, we are committed to providing a fair and transparent training and assessment process. All students have access to our complaints and appeals procedures to ensure any concerns are handled equitably.
Complaints Process
A student may submit a formal complaint regarding any aspect of our service, including the conduct of our staff or other students. If you feel you have been treated unfairly or have a concern about our operations, we encourage you to lodge a complaint.
All complaints are handled with the utmost confidence and are reviewed directly by senior management. You can submit a complaint by emailing us or using the form below.
Appeals Process
A student may appeal an assessment decision. If you believe you have been unfairly assessed on any task or on the final test, you have the right to have the assessment reviewed.
To lodge an appeal, you must submit an appeal form providing a detailed explanation and any supporting evidence as to why you believe the original assessment was not fair or accurate.
Independent Support
All students have the right to seek advice and support from independent external agencies at any stage of the complaints and appeals process. Please be advised that the use of these external services will be at your own cost unless otherwise required by law.
